The images above show how the new road greatly shortens the distance and time that KAIST students have to take to travel to Gung-dong.
Here we have a brief table of what our group considered to be potential pros and cons of the new road. Based on these, we arranged a survey to investigate what KAIST students actually thought on the topic.
From a sample of 43 KAIST students, we obtained the following results:
Overall, the consensus seemed to be that although the road might not do much to encourage more interaction between KAIST and CNU academically and also culturally between the student bodies - as was the original intention of the CNU administration, who paid for the most of the project - nevertheless, the majority agreed that the road would be beneficial for KAIST.
